Tendonitis is basically the inflammation of any specific tendon. In terms of foot tendonitis, it is concerned with the tendons of the foot, any from the ankle down to the toe. Tendonitis may be confused with tendonitis but their treatments vary greatly. Tendonitis is a short lived sudden injury of the tendons causing inflammation. It is very painful and the person becomes restricted and has to limit his movement. In most cases a bed rest for minimum 2 weeks is required for good recovery.
