1. Reduce the risk of heart disease
The LDL is known as the bad cholesterol and the reason is because the particles of the bad cholesterol transfer their fat molecules in the artery walls and move atherosclerosis and clog up the arteries. The good cholesterol or the HLD helps in removing the fat molecules from the arteries walls. This does meat that all the LDL particles are similar. They have many subtypes which have a different size. It is scientifically proven that people who have smaller LDL particles are at risk of getting a heart disease, instead of the people who have bigger LDL particles. So it is better when the LDL particles are bigger. The eggs can increase the cholesterol, but according to one research the LDL particles go from small to large, which lowers the chances of getting a heart disease.
2. Boost your immune system
In order to get rid of viruses, infections and diseases you need to eat 1 or 2 eggs every day. Selenium is a nutrient which will help you to boost your immune system and the regulation of the thyroid hormones. Maybe you did not know but 1 egg contains approximately 22% of your RDA of selenium. Children should eat more eggs, because the lack of selenium can cause Kashin-Beck and Keshan disease. Both of them have a negative influence over the bones, joints and the heart.
We all know that eggs have a lot of cholesterol. We know that there are two types of cholesterol: good and bad and we know that having high cholesterol is bad. The doctors are worried about the ration between LDL and HDL. One egg contains 212 mg. of cholesterol, which does not implicate that the egg can increase the LDL cholesterol. The body produces the cholesterol itself and it is proven that eggs can only improve your cholesterol. How is that even possible? It is simple: the eggs can increase the good cholesterol and enlarge the LDL particles.
